The students’ holistic wellbeing is obviously the heart of TICSA’s programme, every part of the day is an opportunity to practice and contributes to the achievement of the students’ goals.
Here is an outline of what a typical day at TICSA is all about.
Physical fitness: “Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity” by John F. Kennedy
(5:00 am to 6:00 am) Early morning jogging helps the students at TICSA to make room for other important things. TICSA believes, having an established routine in the morning is a great way to start the day, because it gets the students going in the right direction. Plus, it allows them focus on other things throughout the day.
Ticsa would like its students to benefit from YOGA as it reduces stress, promotes emotional wellness, physical flexibility, improves strength and enhances concentration which is very essential in the life students and to crack the Civils. YOGA also gives our students an ideal opportunity to see issues from a fresh perspective. We have professionals specifically trained in Yoga to guide our students during the session.
Activities facilitate in the development of various domains of mind and personality such as intellectual development, emotional development, social development, moral development and aesthetic development.
Creativity, Enthusiasm, and Energetic and Positive thinking are some of the facets and the outcome of all the activities.
Debate and discussion, Declamation contest, Speech competition, Extempore, Group discussion, Debate, Art, Music, Drama, Open Forums, Mock Parliamentary sessions, MUN, symposium, Quiz, TED Talks
These activities guide our students how to organize and present an activity, how to develop skills, how to co-operate and co-ordinate in different situations-all these helps in leadership qualities.
It enables the students to express themselves freely through debates.
Helps to develop the spirit of healthy competition.
It provides the avenues of socialization, self-identification and self-assessment.
Inculcate the values to respect other’s view and feeling.
It makes one perfect in decision making, provide motivation for learning.
Above all it develops the values like physical, psychological, Ethical, academic, civic, social, aesthetic, cultural recreational and disciplinary values
Some of the Activities have an external component, such as a specialist speaker, seminars, workshop or external visit. They offer an ideal opportunity to learn from the experiences of others.
These help to make the courses at TICSA as practical and varied as possible.
The emphasis is on teaching practical skills that can be applied in their living situation immediately.
The expansive play ground is the hall mark of TICSA, the students are allowed to choose their game of interest and participate in it wholeheartedly.
Students are allowed to choose from any of the following: Table Tennis, Shuttle Badminton, Volley Ball, Foot Ball, Cricket, Basket Ball, (indoor games: Chess, caroms and so on…)
A discipline for concentration and systematic thinking over all builds physical ability to protect one’s self respect. It is practiced under professional guidance.
