    In the Level - I - Foundation ( Intermediate ) the following courses with an intake of 60 students in each section is desirable. The course will be for 2-Years with CLAT (Common Law Admission Test).

    • H.E.G (History, Economics, Geography)
    • H.E.P (History, Economics, Public administration)
    • M.E.C (Maths, Economics, Commerce)

    In the Level - II - Inegrated ( B.A Degree ) the following courses with an intake of 60 students in each section is desirable and two sections per year. The course will be for 3-Years.

    • B.A. (H.P.G) - (History, Public administration Geography)
    • B.A. (H.E.P) - (History, Economics, Public Administration)
    • B.A. (H.E.Pol) - (History, Economics, Political Science)

  5. TICSA is it a Residential College or can we join as Day scholars?

  6. TICSA is only Residential College.

  7. Who Can Join in TICSA?

  8. Candidates seeking admission to 1st year Intermediate(Level - I) must have passed Examinations conducted by SSC, CBSE, ICSE.

    Candidates seeking admission to 1st year B.A. course((Level - II) must have passed Two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State OR an Examination of any other University/Board recognized as equivalent thereto (other than Pre-Degree course in Oriental languages of OU)

  9. Do I need to Qualify any Entrance Test?

  10. Yes, Student needs to qualify Entrance Test.

  11. Is TICSA a Co-education College?

  12. Yes. But individual Campus for Boys and Girls. With high Security and Electronic Surveillance.

  13. Can Telugu Medium Students Join In TICSA?

  14. Yes. But at least students should acquire 50% in English paper however spoken English classes will be arranged.

  17. What is the current pattern of the Civil Services Examination?

  18. Civil Services Examination is a 3-stage examination held every year. Stage 1: Preliminary Test Stage 2: Main Exam Stage 3: Personality Test / Interview

  19. What is the Preliminary Test?

  20. It is an Objective type exam for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination. There are two papers
    1.Paper I (General Studies): 100 questions, 200 marks, .66 (1/3rd) will reduced for a wrong answer.
    2.Paper II (CSAT): 80 questions, 200 marks, .88 (1/3rd) will be reduced for a wrong answer.

  21. What is the cut-off for Preliminary Test?

  22. There is a cut-off in the Preliminary Test which varies every year and is decided by the UPSC. Paper II is Qualifying in nature. A candidate has to score 67 marks or get 27 questions right for his Paper I to be evaluated.

  23. How many attempts can I give?

  24. It depends on which category you belong to. If you are an SC/ST candidate, then you do not have to worry. You have unlimited attempts. Yes but only till 37 years of your age. If you are an OBC candidate then you have 9 attempts, till 35 years of your age. For General candidates, maximum attempts are 6, till the years of 32 years.

  25. Is there any relaxation in number of attempts for physically handicapped?

  26. Yes, physically handicapped candidates belonging to the general category shall be eligible for 7 attempts.

  27. What is the educational qualification needed to appear in IAS exam?

  28. Any degree (graduation). It may be regular or distant. The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.

  29. 7. In which language a candidate can write Preliminary Exam

  30. Either in English or in Hindi

  31. In which language a candidate can write Mains Exams?

  32. In English or any of the language mentioned in Eighth Schedule.

  33. Can a candidate write different papers of Civil Service (Main) Examination in different languages?

  34. No, Candidates have the option to write their answers either in English or in any one of the Eighth schedule languages.

  35. 10. Can a candidate write the Civil Service (Main) Examination in English and take the interview in any other Indian language?

  36. If a candidate opts an Eighth schedule language for the CS (Main) Examination he will have the option to take the interview in same language or in English.
